About Me

In the nearly 20 years I have worked in healthcare, I have enjoyed providing care across various settings. I attained my master’s degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City and am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

As a labor and delivery nurse, I listened to patients’ fears and supported women and families during times of great joy and, at times, great sadness. On a busy trauma unit, I saw physical wounds that could be healed and minds not able to let go of the pain. In a district cancer center, my appreciation for the power of the mind-body connection grew. Through my work with those experiencing homelessness, I forged connections with people who had lost all connection. No matter the setting, I have always been passionate about providing care to support the whole person.
